Candy Cane Chocolate Cookies

Every year, I host a cookie exchange party and like to come up with a different and fun recipe to bring to the table. This year I have these Candy Cane Chocolate Cookies.
This recipe for Candy Cane Chocolate Cookies makes 3 dozen
You will need:
1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
1 1/2 C light brown sugar
1 1/2 C sugar
4 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 C bag of chocolate chips
4 1/2 C flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 bags of Ghiradelli melting chocolate wafers
1 C crushed candy canes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In a standing mixer, cream the butter and sugars together until fluffy
Mix in the eggs, one at a time until fully mixed
Add in the vanilla
In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and chocolate chips
Mix until well blended
Using a small ice cream scoop, scoop dough onto parchment lined baking sheets, 2 inches apart
Bake 8-11 minutes.
Let cool while you melt the Ghiradelli chocolate
Once chocolate is melted, dip half the cookie into the chocolate
Place onto cookie sheet with parchment paper
Sprinkle crushed candy canes
Let chocolate harden before enjoying!
